FLIR Systems, a global leader in the design and production of thermal imaging cameras, components and imaging sensors, has recently introduced a new line of Test & Measurement instruments. FLIR is noted for taking innovation to a new level with sensor systems that enhance perception and heighten awareness. The Oregon-based company is the world’s largest supplier of thermal imaging technology to military, government, and commercial customers.

The new FLIR Test & Measurement line-up now available from Gap Wireless includes the FLIR ETS320 thermal imaging camera for electronics development and testing. The ETS320 was purpose-built for more efficient benchtop testing and diagnosis, and it’s the first FLIR camera designed specifically for benchtop testing and analyzing thermal characteristics of electronic components and printed circuit board (PCBs).

Whether the goal is R&D or product testing, heat can be an important indicator of how a system is functioning. The ETS320 helps engineers and test technicians collect accurate, reliable data in seconds and analyze it quickly. With more than 76,000 points of temperature measurement, the unit can monitor power consumption, detect hot spots, and identify potential points of failure during product development.

The FLIR ETS320 is just one of the FLIR Test & Measurement products that can be used in a variety of applications including both electrical applications and building applications. Products include everything from spot thermal cameras, to digital multimeters, power clamp and flex clamp meters, and voltage detectors, to moisture meters, videoscopes and voltage detectors.
